So, the review got a rather interesting sample of the Yeedi 2 Hybrid robot vacuum cleaner with hybrid navigation. As I said above, the advanced Visual SLAM navigation algorithm is used based on the readings of the photosensor, which is located on the top cover. The robot is well oriented in the room, recognizes its position, even after moving. On the plus side, I would like to note the possibility of building a room map, as well as map management: creating barriers and borders. In general, the Yeedi robots have worked well. Packaging and equipment
The robot comes in eco-friendly packaging. This is a simple cardboard (recycled), inside the standard delivery set for a robot vacuum cleaner.
Package contents: charging base with power cord, user manual, disposable wipes for wet cleaning. The side brushes are removed for transport and are located separately in the tray. And a module for wet cleaning with a reusable napkin, as well as a central brush, are already installed on the robot.

Preparation for work
Before starting work, free the robot from the transport dampers, remove the protective films.
You should also install the side brushes, which are separately in the box. There are two brushes, the seats differ in color.
Before starting work, I recommend recharging the robot, as it may be necessary to refresh the firmware on the first connection. By the way, under the cover there is a special combined tool – a brush with a cutter, with which you can powerfully clean the device.
Appearance and features
A few words about the appearance of the Yeedi 2 Hybrid robot vacuum cleaner.
The layout is typical and is a flat disc with a height of just under 8 cm. The front bumper is used for contact and non-contact detection of obstacles.
An optical photosensor for the algorithm is located approximately in the center of the upper part. That is, in fact, this is a photo (or video) camera that constantly looks up and provides data for the operation of the navigation algorithm. Simple and effective solution.
On the lower part of the body there are additional motion sensors, also contacts for recharging, a steering wheel, and the main motor-wheels. The central brush has seals and is combined: the roller has both hard bristles and soft rubber inserts for better cleaning.
In the lower part of the body, behind the main brush, there is a removable module for wet cleaning.
Robot maintenance
Like any other robot vacuum cleaner, the Yeedi 2 Hybrid requires some maintenance: you need to periodically shake out the garbage container, fill in water for wet cleaning, rinse and change napkins.

For wet cleaning, you should not only fill the container with clean water, but also install a napkin for cleaning the floor. Do not forget to remove the napkin after cleaning, rinse and dry.
Pure water is poured through a silicone valve in the corner of the structure.
To clean the waste container, open the top cover and pull the container by the U-shaped handle.
To clean the dust container, lightly press down on the red button. Then you can snap off the flap with the installed HEPA filter.
Shake out the debris; if necessary, you can rinse the container itself with running water, as well as a sponge filter (coarse filter).
The side and center brush should be inspected at regular intervals to remove adhering debris, coiled hair and fur. Also inspect the wheels, as if the motor-wheel is blocked with debris, you can “get” for repair.
Smartphone connection and app
First of all, we turn on the robot. Like Deebots, Yeedi robots are equipped with a physical switch. Unlike the same Xiaomi robots. If you are leaving for a long time, it is best to recharge the robot and then turn it off with this switch.

In terms of management, everything is quite simple. There is a start button for cleaning, when the module with a napkin is installed, wet cleaning starts immediately. In the process, the robot draws a map – 5-6 cleanings are enough for it to finally “remember” the room.
Cleaning
As a test, I ran the robot around the room and also performed a test to remove large amounts of fine debris. I would like to note that during the cleaning, all the debris was raked up by side brushes without scattering, which is quite good.
Everything that was scattered was removed, the robot really navigates in the room and remembers where it has already cleaned, and where not yet.

Depending on the dosing regimen of the liquid, wet cleaning may contain traces of liquid that dry quickly, or a slightly moistened surface. For laminate and parquet, it is better to choose the minimum mode, for tiles you can do it more.
I also note that the robot quietly walks under the furniture. In contrast to the same Roborock S50, in which the “turret” always gets in the way.
Please note that the application has the ability to set virtual boundaries of the room. You can also additionally buy a special magnetic stripe, which can be used to mark, for example, a staircase.
Comparison with Xiaomi Robot
I have an inexpensive robot vacuum cleaner from the old Xiaomi series – Xiaowa E20. This is a robot without laser navigation, but with mapping.
In terms of basic functions, the robots are about the same – there are also modules for wet cleaning, etc.
True, Xiaowa’s water tank is slightly smaller in volume.
But Xiaowa has only one side brush – marketers have saved. In this regard, Yeedi is much more honest.
Well, everything is spoiled by the protruding superstructure in the upper part of the case at Xiaowa – here Yeedi bypasses the “competitor”.
Comparison with the Yeedi robot
Also, for comparison, I am attaching a junior model – a budget robot Yeedi K650. Budget – it is about 2 times cheaper with similar functions (wet cleaning, etc.).
The hybrid model has a slightly lower profile, which is convenient for working under furniture. However, the K650 also lacks protruding turrets and superstructures.
The K650 has a combination tank, which is not always convenient.
Otherwise, the K650 is a very decent model.
Conclusion
Thus, we can say that the Yeedi 2 hybrid robot vacuum cleaner is a very decent model for the home, for relatively little money. On the plus side, I would like to note navigation with building maps, wet cleaning with dosing. The presence of a physical switch on the robot has proven to be very useful. The increased capacity battery allows you to clean a large area of the room in one go.
The operating time from one charge is up to 200 minutes. It is about 260 sq. meters of floor space, that is, the robot calmly cleans a large apartment or house. Robot control can be integrated into smart home systems such as Amazon Alexa, or use voice assistants such as Alice from Yandex or Assistant from Google. The robot calmly overcomes sills and obstacles up to 2 cm high.
