For convenient narration, the review is divided into 2 parts and in the final there will be a comparison based on the experience gained in the operation of each of them.

Let’s start with the new Yeedi K650. This robot vacuum cleaner was announced in the fall of 2020 and was a basic device with dry / wet cleaning (supports simultaneous operation of two modes), a large tank and support for Alexa voice assistant or Google Assistant. A spoonful of tar in all this variety is the lack of building a map of the removed area. But about everything in order.
The factory packaging consists of one outer and inner box, the latter can be used as a gift. When you open the main box, you can see the intermediate unit with accessories. Definitely a pleasant approach from the manufacturer to the end user.

The complete set is not the richest:

  • robot vacuum cleaner
  • charging station
  • power supply
  • replaceable filter
  • microfiber for floor washing
  • replaceable microfiber (4pcs)
  • rubber and lint turbo brushes
  • instructions and warranty card

Appearance Yeedi K650 does not stand out among its counterparts in the “kitchen” and is a classic performance. The color scheme is mostly white, with prolonged use will collect debris. The upper surface is made of tempered glass. Dimensions – Ø335mm, height – 81 mm, weight – 2.5 kg.

The vacuum cleaner is controlled both from the central button and by means of the software on phone. A single press puts the vacuum cleaner in the last set cleaning mode.

On the side of the vacuum cleaner is a power toggle switch, as well as a reset button for all its parameters. A bumper is installed in the front part, covering the sensors. On the opposite side is a removable container with a fairly convenient way of fixing (just press the oval groove to the ground and pull the container on itself).

Let’s get acquainted with him more closely. As mentioned earlier, the container is combined, the volume of the garbage tank is 400 ml, the water tank is 300 ml. The filler neck is on the side and covered with a rubber cap. The handle is provided for convenient transfer, and the special tool for cleaning of a brush.

Although the container is combined, the parts are easily separated from each other. At the same time the garbage can has a completely collapsible design for convenient cleaning and consists of the main filter and fine. Also in the set there is another spare filter.

The lower part of the vacuum cleaner of standard layout – a pair of side brushes, charging sockets on both sides of the front movable wheel. There are height sensors around the perimeter. One of the interesting features is the presence of several main brushes.

The first brush is standard for sweeping floors, the second has rubberized strips for better cleaning on smooth surfaces or carpets. To clean the first, a special brush is provided on the container, while the second brush is enough to rinse under water pressure.

The work of the robot vacuum cleaner in the mode of wet cleaning is realized by means of a set of grids through which microfiber is wetted by a drop way. The latter is attached to the platform and special grooves. The intensity of water supply is regulated through the application on the smartphone.

To operate the vacuum cleaner, you need to install the Yeedi application using the QR link on the top of the case, and then follow the simplest instructions for pairing the device.

After authorization we get to the main menu of the vacuum cleaner where you can choose several types of cleaning: automatic, perimeter cleaning and local cleaning. Let me remind you that the Yeedi K650 vacuum cleaner is a budget model and the presence of a lidar or camera is not provided, so it will not be possible to build cleaning cards. So the mode of local cleaning is a pure formality or will be useful when it is necessary to remove a piglet in 1kv2.

As for the settings, then everything is standard – adjusting the suction power, water supply, as well as viewing the cleaning log. Of the nice features, the presence of voice commands and a choice of 11 language packs. Vacuum cleaner control is also available with the help of Amazon Alexa voice assistant, though there is nothing to check, let’s take your word for it! With Google Assistant everything is easier, the vacuum cleaner is added and started through voice commands from the phone.
Magnetic tape, which is not included, is used to create the borders. Indicators of accessories (brushes, filter) are measured in total working time. All the necessary components for maintenance are easily in the same store.

The firmware update arrives with a pleasant frequency. The only thing that is depressing is the lack of firmware logs.

After getting acquainted with the Yeedi K650, we move on to a direct competitor in the form of ILIFE V7s Plus, which was introduced back in 2018. The model is not new and all known problems have long been known. The ILIFE V7s Plus vacuum cleaner is in one price category, also has wet cleaning, but only the remote control is provided for management.

Packaging from standard recycled cardboard. Inside is a mold without an additional second box (although it used to be).

The equipment is richer than in the Yeedi K650. Here we have access to a remote control, a replaceable side brush, 2 additional air filters, one microfiber, a set of waste paper and a charging station with a power supply.

The robot vacuum cleaner ILIFE V7s Plus has a standard classic version in the form of a tablet. The color scheme is the only one – pink and white. Dimensions of the vacuum cleaner – 340 * 80 mm, weight – 2,95 kg. Compared to the Yeedi K650 (335 * 81mm, weight – 2.5 kg) loses a little in weight, the rest is parity.
Access to the trash can is through the top hinged lid.

Control of the vacuum cleaner is carried out by means of the touch button which serves as the indicator of a charge and work. Pressing a single control sends the vacuum cleaner to automatic cleaning mode.

All available sensors are installed in the front of the vacuum cleaner, covered by a spring-loaded bumper. On the rear wall of the vacuum cleaner there is a window for receiving the signal of the remote control, as well as a connector for power without the use of a standard charging station.

The bottom is the simplest and has a main brush, one side and a set of vertical sensors that prevent falls from a height. Feature of V7s Plus is one lateral brush, as far as it is practical, we will learn in testing.

Among the design features is the toggle switch on the vacuum cleaner, which is located on the bottom and the presence of only two nozzles for wet cleaning. The maximum height of the vacuum cleaner makes 81 mm from floor level that will be quite enough for cleaning under hinged curbstones or between legs of cases. “Hot” replacement of the side brush is not provided, for this you need to use a Phillips screwdriver and a spare brush from the kit.

Installation of microfiber for wet assembly is quite basic, for which the design provides special grooves. Wet cleaning work is the same as with most vacuum cleaners – through a special valve and nozzles on the body water is supplied, which wets the microfiber and washes the floor. Unlike the Yeedi K650, there are only 2 water supply jets.

The main brush is the only one (let me remind you that the Yeedi K650 comes with 2 brushes) and is a combination of stiff bristles and rubber pads.

As mentioned earlier, access to the container is carried out by the standard method through a hinged lid. Change of cleaning modes (standard cleaning and washing of floors) is carried out with replacement of the container on the necessary. Of course, this is not as convenient as the combined container of the K650, but it is a standard solution for most vacuum cleaners. Volumes of tanks on 300 ml.

The dust collector container has a strainer in its design, but does not have the simplest check valve in the place through which garbage enters. Therefore at the careless transfer it is possible to scatter the collected garbage.
What pleases, the set includes 3 replaceable filters, so in the near future the need to buy them will not be needed.

The container for wet cleaning is combined and is intended not only for storage of water, but also for collecting dust. Capacity of the tank under water – 300 ml, under garbage – 60 ml. The filler neck is in the upper right corner. In the combined mode of operation of the vacuum cleaner, there is a rotation of the main brush, which drives the debris into the appropriate compartment. But you need to understand that the suction power is minimal and the mechanical removal of debris with wet cleaning is purely symbolic.

For autonomous operation of the vacuum cleaner the built-in accumulator on 2600 mAh which on the average suffices for 2 hours of work or 100-120 sq2 of the area is provided.
The vacuum cleaner is powered by a standard charging station, which emits 24V / 0.5 A. Also in the upper part of the station there is a compartment for storing the remote control. The remote control itself is made of plastic with a small black and white display, no backlight. All modes of operation are presented in the form of icons, so that even a child can understand. The main disadvantage of this model of vacuum cleaner is the lack of ability to start the vacuum cleaner remotely, but it is always possible to set the start time directly from the remote control. Arrows are provided for manual control of the vacuum cleaner.
There are 3 cleaning modes available:

  • Automatic – cleaning of the central space, perimeter and zigzag;
  • Perimeter – cleaning along the walls;
  • Local – cleaning within a meter of finding a vacuum cleaner.

Each of the modes allows you to well remove debris from the laminate, given that the suction power is not regulated. As the battery charge decreases, the vacuum cleaner tends to return to base.

Now that the acquaintance with both vacuum cleaners has taken place, you can safely send them to the first cleaning. In general, both vacuum cleaners work according to the same algorithm, except that the V7s Plus has only 1 side brush, which does not rotate as fast as you would like. But again, this is done to please the design, otherwise the rapid rotation of the debris would fly in the opposite direction, and not under the main brush.
In general, there are no comments on the cleaning, the only difference in automatic mode: K650 zigzags, removing parallel lines, while V7s Plus moves chaotically, hitting the walls and changing its route.

The washing mode is the same for all vacuum cleaners, except that the K650 can perform both modes at the same time (the brush collects the remaining small debris, while the microfiber wipes the floor).
If you compare the autonomy, the Yeedi K650 battery at 2600mAh was enough for about 80k2, while the ILIFE V7s Plus with an identical battery is enough on average for 100-120k2. The comparison was made at maximum power.

And at once it would be desirable to note that in the course of repair of the apartment the seamless covering between rooms that in the future to operate the robot vacuum cleaner without any difficulties was specially made. Therefore, asking to move across the threshold is meaningless. But the improvised obstacle in height of 2 cm overcomes without problems.

Also in the apartment there are no carpets, and the existing furniture allows you to easily clean under it (wall cabinet, wardrobe, sofa in disassembled form).

Now about the pros and cons of these vacuum cleaners. I thought for a long time how to start a comparison, but nothing came to mind as a standard list of positive and negative moments in operation. Let’s start with the Yeedi K650.
Liked :

  • combined water / garbage container
  • remote control
  • set of 2 brushes for different tasks
  • good navigation, leaving no gaps
  • voice alert and control
  • adequately returns to base
  • convenient access to the container
  • more advanced cleaning system

Didn’t like :

  • not worth the card (again, this is a budget model)
  • sometimes there are failures in navigation (based on the gyroscope)
  • not particularly suitable for cleaning several rooms (lost)
  • not included in the magnetic stripe kit

Now it’s the turn of ILIFE V7s Plus.

Liked :

  • low noise level at work
  • rich equipment
  • easy control from the remote control

Didn’t like :

  • no turbo mode on the main brush
  • no check valve on the debris container
  • it is not possible to run remotely
  • while in the next room for a long time looking for a base (like Yeedi K650)
  • collects dust well on the top plastic cover
  • just one side brush (reduced efficiency)
  • chaotic cleaning in automatic mode

To write down in minuses to vacuum cleaners that they do not build a map of district is silly as the manufacturer did not declare it. Therefore it is more convenient to use basic vacuum cleaners by transferring them to the room where it is necessary to make cleaning then to start an automatic mode of work.

Overall, at a lower cost and better positioning, the Yeedi K650 is head and shoulders above the ILife V7s Plus.

Buying an entry-level robot vacuum cleaner is an eternal dilemma. Some will be willing to overpay for a vacuum cleaner with a lidar or a camera that can build a map of the area, and some will have enough of the basic model. The main problem with robot vacuum cleaners is to train yourself to remove unnecessary things from the floor, and then daily cleaning with a little helper will save you a lot of time. That’s all I have, thank you all for watching!
