Hello everyone! This review will take a look at the popular in 2021 robot vacuum cleaner called Xiaomi TROUVER Robot LDS Vacuum-Mop Finder. The main interest in it is caused by the budget cost, as for a lidar robot vacuum cleaner with a wet cleaning function and all the basic functionality in the application. The price of this robot is in the range of 200-250 dollars, and during the sales period on Aliexpress, it can cost an extremely low 200 dollars. And the first question arises – why overpay if all the same can be obtained almost half the price? Just further, I will consider and test the TROUVER LDS Finder in detail, after which I will express my own opinion whether it is worth buying this robotic vacuum cleaner or is it better to overpay a little and choose a more reliable option for this money. So let’s go!

Now let’s take a look at the appearance of Xiaomi TROUVER LDS Finder. I want to say right away that it is almost identical in design to the Dreame D9 . The only visual difference is that Truver does not have a wall sensor on the bumper and a gray strip on the top cover. At least we left an obstacle detection sensor in front.

The lidar is responsible for navigation and map building. The lidar cover is spring-loaded, so the robot vacuum cleaner should not get stuck under the furniture. The control panel contains 2 mechanical buttons: start / pause and forced return to the base for charging. The dust collector is located under the top cover. The robot vacuum cleaner’s cleaning tool is conveniently stored next to it. The container holds up to 570 ml of dry waste. The filtration system is only due to the HEPA filter, there is no mesh.

On the bottom of the robot there are 4 fall protection sensors, and this is another difference from the Dreame D9, which has 6 of them. The side brush is one, three-beam, quick-detachable.

The wet cleaning nozzle holds up to 270 ml of water. A pump is installed inside for electronic adjustment of the degree of wetting of the napkin. The napkin is attached with a groove and Velcro. It is fluffy throughout the entire area, there are no bald areas.

In general, the build quality of the Xiaomi TROUVER LDS Finder is slightly inferior to the same Dreame D9, but is quite consistent with its price segment. There are no special complaints about the robot vacuum cleaner.

Here, again, comparing with the Dreame D9, the TROUVER is equipped with a weak battery, the suction power is 1000 Pa lower (since Dreame claims 3000 PA), and, accordingly, the operating time does not exceed 100 minutes. Again, due to a weak battery. On this, the manufacturers really sold out, for a lidar robot such a battery is just a mockery. At least 3200 mAh would be supplied. Well, due to such manipulations, it was possible to reduce the cost of the robot vacuum cleaner.
Functionality
Now let’s take a look at what functions are included in the Xiaomi TROUVER LDS Finder. The robot vacuum cleaner is controlled via the Mi Home app. It connects through the EU/US region, this is a plus.

The main working panel displays the built map of the room, which the robot vacuum cleaner automatically zones into rooms. Under the map, you can choose one of three modes of operation: room, automatic cleaning of the entire available area and selection of the cleaning zone on the map. Moreover, you can also set the number of passes by the robot vacuum cleaner: one or two.

In map management mode, you can manually edit room boundaries and rename each room. In addition, virtual walls and forbidden zones can be set on the map, and even separate forbidden zones for the wet cleaning mode.

In the basic settings, you can adjust the volume of voice notifications and select their language. Xiaomi TROUVER LDS Finder supports 9 languages, including English.
Further in the settings it is possible to turn on and off sending notifications to a smartphone, turn on the automatic power increase when driving on carpets, activate the function of continuing cleaning after recharging at the base, set the time when the robot vacuum cleaner should not bother you and set a reminder that Time to rinse the cloth when the robot is wet cleaning.
In addition, there is an adjustment of the suction power and the degree of wetting of the napkin. When setting up a cleaning schedule, you can select the desired cleaning rooms, times, days of the week, as well as parameters such as power and water level.

Well, in addition, in the settings, you can view the cleaning log, track the status of consumables, turn on the search for the robot vacuum cleaner by sound signal, change the name of the robot, share the control with other users and, if necessary, manually update the firmware to a more recent version.
In principle, all the main functionality is in place. It is only worth noting that Xiaomi TROUVER LDS Finder is able to store only 1 card in memory, so this robot will not be the most suitable option for owners of two-story houses. And surprisingly there is no manual control of the robot. But the device supports control via Yandex.Alisa, which is a plus.

Well, finally, let’s move on. First of all, let’s check the navigation of the Xiaomi TROUVER LDS Finder in the obstacle room. After leaving the base, the robot vacuum cleaner begins to pass the perimeter. The legs were being dried turned out to be a trap for him, but nevertheless the robot was able to overcome them on its own and continue cleaning. After driving around the perimeter of the TROUVER LDS Finder begins cleaning the entire available area with a snake. He was able to fit separately around all the legs of the chair and the box, after which he returned to base. Test passed successfully!

There are also no complaints about navigation within the home. The robot vacuum cleaner cleans room by room with a snake, and then around the perimeter. There are no uncleaned areas left, the cleaning speed is high. So this model has good navigation.

In terms of suction power, this robot vacuum only managed to suck out debris from a 2mm deep slot. This is quite a standard suction power and it will be enough for domestic conditions. However, it is worth noting that the Dreame D9 turned out to be more powerful in real conditions. He was able to suck out debris even from a 4 mm gap, so that a difference of 1000 Pa is observed in real conditions.

The quality of waste collection on the laminate is above average. The robot completely collected the debris on the stand, leaving only a small part in the corners, due to the round shape. Some hair is wrapped around the side brush and just a little wrapped around the center brush. All the bulk of the garbage is collected in a dust collector. Test passed successfully!

The same rubbish was scattered on the carpet and the TROUVER LDS Finder cleaned it without any problems. The cleaning quality on carpets is also above average.

But the quality of wiping off the dirt was disappointing. This robot vacuum cleaner was unable to wipe a little dried dirt from the laminate, although its counterparts, including Dreamy, coped with this task. Truver was unable to pass this test.

Well, in general, the quality of wet cleaning is average. The water does not wet the napkin too much, even at the maximum level. For domestic conditions, the implemented floor wiping is suitable, but no more than just collecting dust from the floor. At least a robotic vacuum cleaner can vacuum and mop the floor at the same time.

The passability of the TROUVER LDS Finder is good, it runs over a two-centimeter nut without any problems.

But the robot vacuum cleaner is afraid of black surfaces, like most other robotic vacuum cleaners of the Xiaomi family. This is important to consider.

And finally, we measure the noise level of the TROUVER LDS Finder in different modes. In silent mode, the noise level is in the range of 58-60 dB. In the middle mode it reaches 65 dB, in the intensive cleaning mode the noise level does not exceed 66 dB, and at maximum power the peak value was 67 dB. The noise level of this robot vacuum cleaner is standard.

Xiaomi TROUVER Robot LDS Vacuum-Mop Finder has been reviewed and tested in detail. According to our rating system, he managed to score 65 out of 100 points . The result is quite good for this price segment. But at the same time, the Dreame D9 double managed to score 71 points thanks to the increased power, a more capacious battery and other improvements that were commented on in the review.
I will express my own opinion about this model. Liked the following:
- Good navigation.
- Simultaneous dry and wet cleaning.
- Good dry cleaning quality.
- All basic functionality in the application.
- Good cross-country ability.
- Full Engification of both the application and the voice package.
- The optimal price, considering the capabilities and navigation.
As for the disadvantages, the main ones are:
- Weak battery.
- Afraid of dark coatings.
- Not able to wipe dirt off the floor.
- Stores only 1 card in memory.
- Meager equipment.
As a result, in any case, I would recommend this robot vacuum cleaner for cleaning in areas no more than 80 square meters, and preferably no more than 60, given the small battery capacity. And of course, for 200 dollars, this is one of the best robotic vacuum cleaners, it can even compete with the Dreame F9 , which won in comparison with Xiaomi robotic vacuum cleaners worth up to 200 dollars . But if the price is 200 dollars or more, then I would already recommend looking at the analogs, which can be more powerful, more functional and better assembled.
