The charger is delivered in a white cardboard box, which contains information about the manufacturer, device model, its main technical characteristics and an image.
Inside the box, in a white plastic tray, there is a Ugreen CD161 charger and an instruction manual.
Appearance
The device has a classic look. Made of white, durable, glossy plastic, it has a European CEE 7/16 plug for low-power consumers and two USB-A ports for connecting cables.
One of the ends contains the main technical characteristics of the device. Each of the ports is capable of delivering: 5V-3A, 9V-2A, 12V-1.5A, 18W. The total power is 36W.
On the second end there is the UGREEN logo.
Testing
The device was tested in three stages.
At the first stage, each of the ports of the device was gradually loaded using an electronic load. The measurement results are as follows:
4.87V — shutdown occurred when the current exceeded 3.91A.
9.07V — shutdown occurred when the current exceeded 2.17A.
12.1V — shutdown occurred when the current exceeded 1.57A.
In each mode, the device worked for at least 5 minutes. As you can see, there is a small margin of power.
At the second stage of testing, both ports were loaded. The first port worked in the conditions of 9.09V-2.18A, the second port was 4.59V-3.11A.
As can be seen from the test results, the device copes with the task quite well and fully complies with the declared characteristics.
At the third stage, a comparison was made between the performance of the original chargers when charging smartphones Samsung Galaxy Note9 and Samsung Galaxy Note8. The test results are as follows:
Original charger. Result: 9.178V-1.560A
Ugreen CD161 charger, with one connected smartphone. The result is 9.205V-1.550A.

Summing up, I would like to say that the Ugreen CD161 charger fully complies with the declared characteristics. The device does an excellent job of charging modern mobile devices, even with the fast charging function. All this allows us to say that Ugreen CD161 can be used as a backup charger. Of course, it cannot be argued that this charger will work equally well with all mobile devices, with a fast charging function, but there are no questions about working with Samsung smartphones.
