The device is delivered in a large enough black box, wrapped in glossy cellophane. High quality printing. The front part shows the device itself. The side faces show the insides of the device, indicating the presence of a chip and a powerful motor that supplies water.
At the back are the main specifications. Namely: work using the Bluetooth 4.0 protocol, which is quite enough for data exchange with a smartphone. There is also an indication of support for working with IOS starting from version 9.0 and Android from 5.1.
Opening the box, we see a welcome brochure showing the device completely disassembled. It looks really cool and interesting.
Below the brochure is an instruction book, folded like a comic book or newspaper. The instructions contain a bunch of Chinese characters, a QR code to download the app, and a few pictures showing how to use the irrigator when cleaning the spaces between your teeth.
Next, we see a travel case, made of white matte plastic, in which the device is located. There are two nozzles in a sealed package on the side. Under one of the nozzles there is a magnetic cable for charging the irrigator.
The case looks expensive and is made of high quality plastic. The upper edge is made in white gloss, otherwise matte plastic is used, which, on the one hand, is a fairly practical solution, on the other hand, it gives a premium look. The irrigator itself is in a case without a nozzle, so a separate attachment for it is provided on the case lid.
The irrigator is made in a dark eggplant color with a futuristic relief pattern. The shape of the irrigator is a bit like a very narrow eggplant, which is actually repeated in its color. A nozzle is installed on top. It is removed and attached by force. There are no fixing buttons.
Below is the key that forms the button for turning on the irrigator and the button for selecting the operating mode. Each button has a white backlight that is activated when pressed. Below you can see the designations of the three modes of operation of the irrigator and a small LED opposite each of them.
Almost at the very bottom there are two contacts for charging the device and a water tank. The reservoir is very small and has a volume of 30 milliliters. The spout that takes water from the tank is made of stainless steel and has a fine grating to protect the irrigator itself from getting dirt. They also thought about the little things, namely, they left a small groove on the tank and a hole in the irrigator body to remove excess liquid when closing. The reservoir can also be filled with mouthwash!
The irrigator can interface with a smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0 and transfer usage information to the proprietary Oclean app. In the application, in the uppermost plate, you can see how many sprays the irrigator produced and how much water was consumed in milliliters. In the second bar you can see the usage time in days. Going deeper into it, you can see how much time is left before changing the nozzle. You can also reset this time to zero. In this case, the report will be sent again for 120 days.
In the most recent bar, you can see the history of irrigator use in weeks. If we talk about other useful features of transferring data to the application, then we can note the information about the remaining battery charge, which is located in the upper right corner of the plug-in.
In the next section, you can install one of eleven programs. Each of the programs assumes its own “rhythm” and intensity of water injection, as well as the time of the procedure itself. So the maximum time allotted for one procedure can take no more than 36 seconds. In this case, the remaining two modes of the irrigator will work when you press the button and will not be limited by time.
Summing up, I can say that the decision is very controversial and for me personally the powerful flow of water was not enough for me, which I like so much in conventional irrigators with a tank capacity of 200–250 milliliters. On the other hand, in such a solution, to a greater extent, the rate is made on the safety of the gums. Smart functions are certainly interesting in terms of getting information about changing the brush head, but not very useful for tracking the quality of cleaning the oral cavity, as it is implemented in smart toothbrushes. The program setting changes the intensity, the range between sprays and the treatment time. At the same time, the programs, although they differ from each other, do not greatly affect the sensations. The undoubted advantage is that this is perhaps the most compact irrigator that can even be compared to a modern sonic toothbrush. The device is really felt in the hands, like a toothbrush! At the same time, due to the drop-shaped form of the irrigator, it does not seem that this “brush” has grown a little fat. Let me remind you that the device weighs only 165 grams, which is only 35 grams more than the Xiaomi Oclean X and this is really surprising. Oddly enough, it was the compactness that surprised me, and not the smart functions and connectivity with a smartphone. Perhaps there was also not enough gyroscope, which could track the position of the device and, referring to this indicator, analyze the quality of the procedure. In short, we are waiting for an irrigator with a display. However, this is a completely different story. not smart features and smartphone pairing capabilities.
