The appearance coincides to the smallest detail with the previous version of Amazfit BIP or Amazfit BIP Lite. The differences lie in the details, such as the type of transflective screen used.

A single hardware button is located on the right side of the case. It is pleasant to press tactilely, pressing is clearly tracked. When pressed, the screen and the backlight, if enabled, are activated and redrawn.
The strap is soft, silicone, standard. I had a black strap for the black Amazfit BIP S watch. In general, other official colors are available (case color + strap color).
On the reverse side there is an optical heart rate sensor BioTracker — a proprietary development of Huami, which is installed in all top watch models (Stratos 3, T-Rex, GTS, GTR and so on). It is an accurate and modern heart rate monitor.
The watch strap is standard, there are actually two versions of watches — with a short (~ 8 cm) and a long strap (~ 11 cm).
The strap width remains the same, the form factor is also familiar from the previous version. A quick-release lock is used — you can change the strap yourself and without special tools.
The strap is made of soft silicone, good and shows itself well with prolonged wear, but I prefer metal straps — they look better and sit more comfortably on the hand.
The charging is magnetic, there is no need to disassemble or remove the strap, it is installed literally in one motion.
You can charge any USB charger, even from a computer or laptop. A full charge takes about two hours, but one charge is enough for almost a month (from 20 to 90 days, depending on the intensity of use).
The Amazfit BIP smartwatch has always been appreciated for its unique display made with transflective technology. Sunlight reflects off the substrate and acts as the strongest backlight. This gives the effect of a bright display in the sun — colors are not lost and the screen does not fade outside, quite the opposite.
Of course, there is also an integrated display backlight. It is adjustable in intensity, but only works when the screen is activated.
Of the functions, I note the presence of a detailed weather forecast, a Russified understandable menu, a built-in alarm clock that can be configured directly from the clock, a compass and a barometer, as well as a music control menu.
Not only can the alarm clock be set right from the clock — a long tap on the screen calls up the skin manager — you can immediately choose yourself and apply a new “skin”.
When I turned on for the first time, a firmware update arrived.
The watch is connected as standard, the application is all the same — Amazfit from Huami . The watch also works in tandem with MiFit . The application itself contains even more settings, plus additional interface skins that can be downloaded to the device.
A total of 10 basic sports activity profiles are preset.

For comparison, I attached an Amazfit GTR watch. Indoors, it is noticeable that the backlighting of the GTR is brighter, but in the sun the situation changes exactly the opposite.
Please note that the Amazfit BIP S has the same heart rate sensor as the Amazfit GTR (although the price difference is almost two times).
This is one of the most accurate sensors right now, so it’s another big plus for the Amazfit BIP S.
The screen pleases with the depth of color rendition and viewing angles.
