Another washing vacuum cleaner, Liectroux i5 Pro, came to my review. The price of this model is about 400 dollars at the time. I have previously tested smart appliances from Liextroux. These are the Liectroux ZK901 lidar robot vacuum cleaner and the Liectroux WS-1080 window cleaning robot . Next, I will consider in detail how their first in the lineup Liectroux i5 Pro washing handheld vacuum cleaner works, how it copes with its main task and, most importantly, whether it is worth the money. Let’s take a look at the appearance of the Liectroux i5 Pro. The vacuum cleaner is black. It has two tanks – for dirty water and for clean water.

The main brush for cleaning the floor is installed under a transparent plastic cover with a rubber squeegee. The brush is represented by a roller made of soft bristles, inside which are hidden more resilient red brushes. An interesting solution, in the tests we will see how effective it is. The dirty water tank is installed at the front above the roller. At the same time, the fresh water tank is located at the back, closer to the handle.

Consider both tanks. The volume of a tank for clean water is 750 ml. Above, there is a mark for the maximum water level, as well as a mark along which you need to pour the detergent. A water filtration system is installed inside the lid to prevent any particles from entering the system of the washing vacuum cleaner.

The dirty water tank is a little more complicated. Above, there is a filtration system based on a foam rubber and a mesh filter. The instructions say that the sponge filter is HEPA, but it is not. An ordinary piece of foam rubber. The top of the tank is a float. The flask contains an additional filter that catches large debris. The tank itself is equipped with a convenient carrying handle. On it we see a mark for the maximum level of dirty water, which will allow us to visually assess the condition of the tank.

The next component of the washing vacuum cleaner is the handle, on which the control buttons are located. There are only 4 buttons: this is to turn on / off the power, turn on the UV lamp, turn on the self-cleaning function at the station and the button for forced water supply to the roller located under the finger.

And the last thing I would like to emphasize is the display on the case. It is placed conveniently and displays the battery charge, the status of the tanks, and whether the UV lamp is on or not.

In general, the design is quite comfortable and practical. Build quality is between budget and mid-range, like the rest of the Liectroux technology.

Noise level
First of all, we measure the noise level of the Liectroux i5 Pro. Since it has one power mode, the noise level in this mode fluctuates between 73-75 dB, which is quite acceptable.

It is much more important to check how effective this handheld vacuum cleaner is at cleaning the floor and wiping off dirt. There will be several tests, from simple to more complex.
Here’s how the Liectroux i5 Pro washes a virtually clean floor, comparable to everyday cleaning:

Water does not flood the floor too much, even if the water supply is forced on with the button on the handle. There are no stains and puddles left, this is a plus.
Now let’s add some household waste to the floor. And you can see that the vacuum cleaner does a good job of picking up debris from the floor.

If you complicate the test by sprinkling additional wool and hair on the floor, this also does not cause problems for the Liectroux i5 Pro. Debris immediately falls into the dirty water tank, while the brush is clean and does not smear the debris on the floor.

But with the sand, the first difficulties are already appearing. The vacuum cleaner collected most of the sand from the tiles, but still there is a small part in the seams that it is not able to suck out.

Well, I’ll try to repeat the test from the commercial by breaking a raw egg on the floor and adding a little sauce. I wonder if the Liectroux i5 Pro will be able to clean the floor from fresh dirt with high quality.

The main part is assembled, but you see that the brush is clogged and the vacuum cleaner starts to smear the mixture on the floor, so I do not recommend using this device for such purposes. And the whole point is just that the water supply is not too intensive and, accordingly, such an amount of contamination does not have time to be washed and forcibly sucked into the dirty water compartment.

Coarse dirt is collected on the filter, and only liquid is in the flask. This will make it easier to clean the tank. It makes no sense to continue testing in this state, so I’ll just tell you about the self-cleaning function of Liectroux i5 Pro.

To do this, you need to rinse the dirty water tank, fill the second tank with clean water, install the vacuum cleaner on the station and turn on the self-cleaning function. It takes about 30 seconds to complete this activity. During self-cleaning, clean water from the tank enters the system, rinsing not only the cleaning roller, but also the suction channel. After self-cleaning, the roller is really clean. You can continue testing.
The next test is the most difficult in my opinion and it will just demonstrate how effectively the Liectroux i5 Pro wipes off dirt. I poured coffee and sauces at the stand and stomped around in my dirty shoes. He left the whole thing to dry up for a day. Let’s see if the device will cope with such a difficult task.

And you can see that he managed to completely and without streaks to clean the stand from dried spots. Test passed successfully!
The only caveat to the Liectroux i5 Pro is that, like most other vacuum cleaners, it does not scrub a small area along the baseboard.

And finally, let’s check out the roller brush for cleaning carpets. Personally, I do not really understand the logic of using such washing vacuum cleaners on carpets, they will also wet the carpet and only make it worse. But once stated, you need to check. Liectroux i5 Pro was able to collect all the debris from the carpet, but it smeared some of the dust, as I said. Therefore, I would not use such a vacuum cleaner for cleaning carpets. Although if you use some special tool, perhaps this will make sense.

After the next self-cleaning, you can put the vacuum cleaner on charge. It charges very conveniently when docked with the station. No need to manually connect the charger to the vacuum cleaner.
Yes, the last thing I would like to show is vertical parking. A very convenient solution, if necessary, during cleaning, you can move the vacuum cleaner from an upright position for maintenance or to distract from the process.

Liectroux i5 Pro has been reviewed and tested in detail. I will express my own opinion about this washing vacuum cleaner.
The advantages of this model:
- Copes well with scrubbing dried dirt.
- The water supply is moderate and the vacuum will not damage the wood flooring.
- A capacious reservoir for clean water, it is enough for the entire cleaning cycle until the battery runs out.
- Self-cleaning function at the station.
- Good equipment.
- UV lamp for surface disinfection.
- The presence of a brush for cleaning carpets.
- Vertical parking.
As for the shortcomings, the following were found:
- There is no HEPA filter.
- Do not wet the floor abundantly with clean water, which is necessary for collecting liquids, sauces and various slips.
- Only one operating mode.
- Does not blow along the plinth.
As a result, the Liectroux i5 Pro washing vacuum cleaner is, as it were, not bad for its money, and copes with its main task, and visually does not cause any complaints, but I cannot call it the best. The main reason is that the water does not flow too abundantly onto the roller brush and there is nothing like the maximum mode, so if the working conditions are difficult, then the vacuum cleaner may not be able to cope.
But in domestic conditions, it is rare when you need to collect broken eggs from the floor or spilled sauces, so if you like the product, read the reviews about it and, if there are no more important comments, you can think about buying.
