I continue to talk about my purchases. This time I am reviewing the Baseus DGXC-02 lamp 2022.
This is a rechargeable lamp, which by the manufacturer itself ( judging by the pictures in the lot ) is positioned as a lamp for illuminating the workplace, for reading, for lighting in the closet, etc. And if I still agree about the cabinet, then I do not quite agree with the fact that this lamp can illuminate the workplace. I will show in more detail with examples below. But first, I’ll tell you about the device of this lamp.

The lamp comes to the buyer in a white box, with a design that generally matches all Baseus products
It is quite possible that you, like me, will receive a box this crumpled. What to do, the post office does not spare anyone.
On the box you can also see brief characteristics of the device:
Together with the lamp, the set also comes with a charger:
Inside is a charger with two USB ports:
Charging is simple, without support for PD / QC protocols, but they are not needed for this lamp.
Charging characteristics:
I already have a similar charger. I can say that it is inexpensive, simple and of sufficient quality.
But back to the lamp.
The complete set consists of the lamp itself, stand, USB Type-c cable, waste paper:
The stand is plastic, on one side it has a metal plate for magnetizing the lamp, on the other side there is a double-sided tape:
The bundled USB cable is 1 meter long, its quality is generally normal.
I really liked the format of the instructions included. A small narrow booklet.
Now about the lamp. It is just such an oblong bar:
The body is plastic. On the front side there is a plastic diffuser, under which there are LEDs.
On the reverse side in the center there is a powerful enough magnet, with the help of which the lamp can be magnetised either to the stand or to any other metal surface:
Also on the back there is information about the manufacturer, and the characteristics:
On the left side there is a Type-C port for recharging the lamp. The lamp can be used when charging.
During charging, a white LED lights up on the back under the plastic:
Consumption when charging about 0.3A:
Measured the lamp. Its length is 284mm:
When it comes to installation, there are several options. I wrote above that it can be fixed on any metal surface. You can also use the supplied stand, fix it on any surface with tape, and magnet the lamp to the magnet:
Now about the management. There are several touch buttons on the luminaire. In the center there is the power button, on the right there are two buttons + and — responsible for brightness, and to the left of the power button there are two buttons (arrows) responsible for changing the color temperature (there are 3 modes)
As I could, I tried to photograph the temperature modes:
The same modes, but in slightly different conditions:
As for brightness, the brightest and dimmest modes are not very different from each other:
Well, now about the practical application. It is written that the lamp can be used as a table lamp, for example for reading. This is how it shines if you put it on the right above the table, in a room without other light sources:
This is the maximum brightness. It seems to me that this is not enough for reading, but as a simple illumination of the table, or spot lighting, I think it will be enough.
And this is how it shines under the same conditions at minimum brightness:
Not quite dim, but not so bright anymore. As for me, in the minimum glow mode, the lamp is more suitable as a night light. If you point it at the wall:
Incidentally, I have recently been using the lamp in the night light mode. It claims up to 24 hours of battery life in minimum brightness mode. This is certainly not true. According to my estimates, the lamp lasts about 18 hours.
But in the maximum brightness mode, the lamp shines from one full charge for about 3 hours.
But I also took this lamp not only for lighting the apartment. Seeing such a solution, I immediately understood where it would come in handy. Fishing with an overnight stay. The magnetic base adheres perfectly to the car body. If the table is next to the car, then such a lamp can be attached to the body and directed to the table. It turns out a wide, even light, not very bright, but at the same time quite comfortable so that you can sit in nature at dinner in the evening. However, in this case, the white case is not very practical. It would be better if it was gray. But this is already nit-picking. How comfortable this application of mine will be, I know only with the onset of summer.
Conclusion
At this price, the purchase is quite interesting. I will not say that the lamp is super bright, but I think you can find many different uses for it. It works for me now as an autonomous night light. In the summer I will take her with me to nature. I think you can also quite successfully use it to illuminate small rooms where autonomy is needed. On the plus side, of course, is the ability to recharge from any USB source. A test with a phone camera, as well as a pencil test, showed that the lamp does not have any flicker, which means that there are high-quality LEDs. Based on this, I can recommend a lamp for purchase, but with the proviso that you understand what you need it for.
That’s all for me. If you have any questions, ask them in the comments below the article. Happy shopping everyone!
